Full-Time Accountant / Bookkeeper

Job Description

Our downtown client has an immediate need for a Bookkeeper / Accountant

Responsibilities include:
• Manage Accounts Payables and responsible for invoicing and billing issues
• Manage Accounts Receivable and responsible for collections on delinquent accounts
• Manage payroll, government remittances, journal entries and balance sheet
• Responsible for cash flow reports and analysis and banking
• Using Excel to produce and build financial reports
• Assisting with corporate and personal tax

Qualifications:
• Minimum of five years of bookkeeping experience
• Experience with collections
• Strong communication and excellent interpersonal skills
• Advanced Excel skills, Experience with Simply Accounting

Compensation: $40K - $45K+

Accountant/Bookkeeper Position

Our growing IT technology company in the GTA downtown core is looking for an Accountant/Bookkeeper for a full time position. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic and growing organization in the technology sector. The office will be within walking distance to Union Station.

Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be reporting directly the President and part-time Finance Director. Responsibilities will include:

Processing of accounts payable;
Processing of customer invoicing and accounts receivable;
Preparing bank reconciliations;
Payroll processing;
Assisting with monthly cash flow preparation;
Other account reconciliations;
Assisting with preparation of internal monthly financial reports; and

You will also be assisting in other administrative functions as required for the time being as the organization grows in the finance area.

Qualifications and experience:
College or university degree in commerce or accounting would be an asset.
A minimum of 3-5 years accounting and bookkeeping experience in a small to medium sized company.
Enrolment in a professional accounting program would be an asset
Ability to grow with the organization is essential.
Experience with an accounting an such as Simply Accounting or QuickBooks
Strong in MS Excel skills, including data analysis.

Salary:
35K to 45K per annum.
