Job Description
We currently have a career opportunity for a Plant Manager. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Manufacturing. The plant manager is responsible for the management of all plant activities notably production, quality assurance and control, the HACCP program and employees.We are looking for a hands-on plant manager with a strong background in food production and extensive experience in operations, HACCP standards combined with organizational and employee management skills.
More specifically, the position must:
Manage daily food production to budget
Communicate with and coordinate all employees
Be the link between plant and administration
Ensure that all documentation is kept up to date as required by the company and CFIA
Analyse plant performance, develop and implement improvements as required
Integrate, train and evaluate all plant personnel
Be versatile, accomplished at planning as well as rolling up your sleeves to get the job done - this is NOT an office position
Possess proven leadership and have a positive attitude, team spirit and be innovative
Capable of working under pressure
Able to perform other tasks as required
