Job Description
Senior SharePoint DeveloperWe are currently seeking Senior Developers with SharePoint Development experience to join our consulting team. This is a position that deals directly with the client on a daily basis; consulting experience is an asset.
Technical Responsibilities:
Produce or oversee the production of technical requirements, architecture, design, development and implementation of complete SharePoint solutions.
Work with and/or lead test and quality assurance staff during the development and implementation of enterprise solutions.
Identify and establish tools, operating environments, design and development standards, and technical documentation as required.
Business Responsibilities:
Effectively communicate and define technology considerations within the context of business requirements.
Be able to explain technology to a business audience.
Support implementation and operational strategies.
Actively be involved the collection, refinement, communication and maintenance of business requirements.
Desired Skills & Experience
Required Skills:
• A unique combination of technical expertise, strong client communication skills and the ability to deliver results under pressure while maintaining positive relationships with key business and technical sponsors.
• 5 + years of experience as a software developer in the Microsoft environment
• 2 + years experience with SharePoint in a lead role required
• Experience in a .NET environment (6+), Visual Studio*.NET 2003/2005/2008 ( VB.NET, ASP.NET, C# and ADO.NET)
• Desire and ability to build high quality enterprise level applications utilizing technologies across all tiers (GUI, application, service, business domain, persistence, and integration)
• Full software lifecycle experience
• Good knowledge of SharePoint Services, SharePoint Object Model , Work Flow, Info Path, Form Services, Microsoft SharePoint 2007 (MOSS 2007) and Microsoft SharePoint 2010.
• B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent
Desired Skills:
• Knowledge of SharePoint installation, administration and Active Directory considered an advantage.
